Door and Window Sensor

The sensor monitors the position of a door or window and reports opening and closing events to the system. It usually consists of a sensing unit and a matching part mounted on the frame and the moving leaf.

The device is used in security scenes, open-window reminders, and automatic heating or air-conditioning control. For example, the system can pause climate equipment while a window is open.

The permitted gap between the two parts, mounting method, power source, and communication protocol depend on the model. The installation point must allow the leaf to move freely while ensuring reliable detection in both states.
