Water Leak Sensor

The leak sensor detects water when its sensing contacts are bridged or a remote probe becomes wet. It is intended to identify an incident early, before water spreads through the room.

After activation, the system can send a notification, sound an alarm, and command a compatible shutoff valve. Sensors are placed near washing machines, sinks, water heaters, manifolds, and other likely leak points.

Probe design, power method, enclosure protection, and communication protocol depend on the model. The sensor should be installed at the lowest accessible point and tested periodically by safely simulating contact with water.
