Motion Sensor

The motion sensor detects people moving within its monitored area and reports the event to the system. It can serve as part of the security system or as an input for everyday automation.

Motion can switch on lights, adjust climate mode, send a notification, or start camera recording. Scene conditions and delays are configured to reduce unnecessary activations.

Detection technology, range, viewing angle, sensitivity, power source, and communication protocol depend on the model. Mounting height, direction, and location are selected with regard to furniture, walkways, pets, and heat sources.
